This is a Chinese speciality. Pu Erh tea is a so-called post-fermented tea. It is traditionally produced in the Yunnan province. When brewed, its cup color is very dark. Therefore, this type of tea is also called 'heicha', which means 'black or dark tea'. Pu Erh teas have a very typical earthy, slightly sweet and full-bodied taste. And they have a very intense and characteristic smell, like warm earth after a summer rain.
Similar to green tea, it should be prepared with not quite boiling water (90° C) and can be reinfused several times.
